Since more and more ultras are filling, I don't think you should worry about pulling anyone from other 100's except Leadville (Hardrock is a lottery and no one gets in anyway).

Although, your idea of June might be good in this sense - Do it on the same weekend as WS100, offer mucho dinero and and free entries to the top runners (all of the hopefully) and get yourself a true championship event.Derek Griffithshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07609333842085740900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-451222917425507533.post-69988754430734871792007-10-23T19:43:00.000-06:002007-10-23T19:43:00.000-06:00Count me in! - SDCount me in! - SDScott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-451222917425507533.post-60242115021935001402007-10-22T14:37:00.000-06:002007-10-22T14:37:00.000-06:00Tony,I'm sharing your pain healing from a Leadvill...Tony,

I'm sharing your pain healing from a Leadville injury (and DNF) as well.

I had the RTP on my radar for the fall but it got scubbed due to injury. I love the idea of yuor Pikes Peak 100 miler.

If we get some grassroots interest I'll try to help you out as best I can.

Great blog - will check it often!
Jerrylachiewiczhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16180183113272670329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-451222917425507533.post-58437903418713144122007-10-17T11:16:00.000-06:002007-10-17T11:16:00.000-06:00Tony,Nice blog. It has been fun reading about you the last two years and now it is great to read about your running on the blog. I look foward to meeting you maybe at Leadville next year. I was thinking of Western States once more this year but have decided I need to fill my Leadville fix once and for all. Thanks for the insite.Kurthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02768438728203756752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-451222917425507533.post-32829091757524924932007-10-15T23:54:00.000-06:002007-10-15T23:54:00.000-06:00Cool idea. I was pacing for my brother in his first 100(he unfortunately had to drop at mile 63). If you're ever in the midwest you should check out our trail races. We put on 2 50k races and a 100k race each season on awesome courses! P.S. I've followed your running for awhile and I just found your blog. Good Stuff.Shane A. I've been daydreaming a lot the past several weeks about a 100 mile route here in Juneau (Tongass 100). I've got a route in my mind that would be about 90 miles of singletrack/ridge traverse and 10 miles of road (wish i could come up with a way to drop the road portion also). It'd have about 15-20k of elevation and would be quite slow due to lots of mud, roots, and rocks. problem is that I, like you, have no idea where to begin with putting together a race. more likely I'll just keep it on the back burner until I have the time (maybe 2010) to put together an unofficial "race" with just a few people (or maybe just me) and then see if it can expand from there.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03238385683129822240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-451222917425507533.post-27970560764709539122007-10-13T12:44:00.000-06:002007-10-13T12:44:00.000-06:00Tony,Just found your blog!!
